NetResults

• If you are upgrading to version 6.6.1 from any version 5 or earlier (e.g. 5.5.4), you will have to enter your version 6 license keys (version 5 or earlier license keys will not work with version 6). If you are already using version 6.x.x and have license keys entered, you already have the keys you need.

  Upgrading without the appropriate license keys could result in the inability to login to your workgroups (because you have more users than licenses entered), unexpected changes to your users (floating users will be converted to static users if a floating license key is not entered), and/or the inability to use certain features.

  If your Software Updates and Support (SUS) subscription is current, then you can get your new license keys by clicking on the "Request Download" link to the left and entering your account information. License key requests are reviewed by Sales and licenses will be issued within one business day.

Firefox 8 & 9, Safari 5.1 Patch

This patch allows Tracker versions 6.5.0, 6.5.1, 6.6.0 and 6.6.1 to be used by Firefox 8 and 9 and Safari 5.1 browsers. This patch will also allow the use of Firefox 10 (and subsequent major versions) when released (Beta and Aurora versions continue to be blocked). With Firefox's new release cycle, major version number changes no longer necessarily mean major feature or design changes, so the risk that a new major version will be incompatible with Tracker is lower than it was for past major release number changes. Microsoft SOAP Toolkit 3.0

Microsoft Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) Toolkit 3.0 enables NetResults Tracker to use Submit via Email add-on feature and NetResults Tracker Open API Software Development Kit (SDK) add-on tool.

Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 - Update 18

NetResults Tracker uses the Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 to send and receive email messages (from the web server machine on which Tracker is installed).

Sun JRE Version 6.0 (or greater) does not currently work with the Sun JavaMail software that we use for sending and receiving emails, so it cannot be used. Another version of Java (e.g. Version 6.0) can be installed on the Tracker server as long as version 5.0 is also installed (before or after version 6.0 is installed).
